You know when you meet someone and you have an instant connection and it feels like you have known that person since you came out of the womb? Well that’s how it is with me and my long-time friend, Marina. We met in 5th grade and spent many of our childhood days adventuring through the woods in the back of her property, which was coincidently a 5 minute drive from my house. During high school we were on the same cross country team (she was WAY faster), in almost all the same classes, and were basically inseparable. One of my favorite memories with Marina is when, Junior year of high school, we pranked our Economics teacher by switching seats and not telling her. The teacher literally did not notice at all and called me “Marina” while directly looking me in the eye and giving me one of Marina’s papers. Seriously. No clue. Other fun times include spending 5 hours learning the “Cup Song” by Anna Kendrick and being Siamese twins at our senior year theme dinner (yes, we both fit into one XXL tshirt).
Marina is an artistic and incredibly adventurous person. I mean, she owns a Jeep, and I don’t think you can drive one of those and not be adventurous. She is a graphic design major at Texas State University and is in the Equestrian Club, which is why she owns several horses. One of her beautiful horses, Brandi, is in these photos. Also, she recently adopted a cute and friendly pup named Piper!
The front of her family’s property had some beautiful, overgrown grass that I decided to shoot during golden hour. Marina brought out Brandi, Piper and her family dog, Darcy to go take photos. Animals always make a shoot more exciting, and this one was no exception!
If you need photos with your cute pup, senior portraits, family portraits, or anything else, please feel free to contact me! I would love to schedule a shoot with you!
